Modifying an existing account in Entourage

From the Tools menu, select Accounts. From the Accounts window select your SEV account and select Edit from the tool bar. 

 Your settings in the Edit Accounts window need to be changed.  In the Receiving Mail section, the POP server will remain mail.sev.org. The Account ID must be changed to the form of username@sev.org.

 Under Sending Mail section, set the SMTP server to smtp.ambt.net. Click button for advanced sending options.

 

 In the window that pops up, check the box for “SMTP server requires authentication”. Select the  button for  “Use same settings as receiving mail server”.

 

 Close the window, and click OK in the Edit Accounts window.

 You should test this change to the outgoing server by sending an email.  Sending one to yourself is a good test.  If you can send and receive the email, you are finished with the changes.
