Email Settings for American Broadband Customers
Set up your email software First, a little explanation - Email programs use two mail servers to process mail. One is the POP3 (incoming) server and the other is the SMTP (Outgoing) server. The SMTP is the outgoing mail server through which you send your outgoing mail. Since you are now connected to AMBT's network, they know that you are a valid subscriber and allow your outgoing email to be relayed to the destination. The POP3 Server is the incoming mail server used to collect your domain email until you open your email program and download the incoming mail messages. SEV.org email users will continue to use mail.sev.org as their server.
POP3 (Incoming) Server:
mail.sev.org Server Login: The login username that Outlook, Outlook Express, MacMail and other mail clients use must be in the form of username@sev.org, rather than just the username alone. The mail servers at AMBT require this, where the servers at Buckeye did not. Below are instructions for popular email clients.
