Modifying an existing account in Mac Mail
SEV is moving their email servers to new hardware at American Broadband. These changes are required so you can send and receive mail.
Mac OS X Mail setup
Your Mail settings under Account Information need to be changed. The incoming server will remain mail.sev.org, but the username must be in the form of username@sev.org
Click the "Options" button to set the Outgoing Server and Authentication options.
For Authentication select Password. Fill in the Account Name and Password. This account was set up for you by Buckeye and mailed to you. This account should use the same Account Name and Password as your SEV account. Buckeye Tech Support can furnish these to you if you are unsure.
Click OK
You should test this change to the outgoing server by sending an email. Sending one to yourself is a good test. If you can send and receive the email, you are finished with the changes.
If this test fails, there is a problem with the Buckeye email account set up for you by Buckeye. Please call Buckeye's Tech Support to resolve this problem. Remember, you are a Buckeye customer and because you are sending mail using Buckeye's network, they will assist you in making this change.
