Modifying an existing account in Microsoft Office Outlook
Once you have converted to AMBT DSL or dial-up, these changes are required so you can send and receive mail.
MS Outlook
From the menu bar click on
Tools -> email accounts
from the dropdown menu
In the subwindow that opens, select "
View or change existing e-mail accounts
" then click on Next
Highlight the account you wish to change and click on Change
Change the outgoing mail server to
smtp.ambt.net.
Under Logon Information, t
he username must be in the form of username@sev.org.
Click on the
More Settings
button
In the subwindow that opens, select the
Outgoing Server
tab
Check the "
My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
" option and check "
Use same settings as my incoming server"
radio button
Click OK
Click on "
Test Account Settings
". This will test the changes that you have just made.
If all test pass, then click on
Next
and then
OK
